Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years relevant work experience preferred.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred.
  • Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, including preventive maintenance.
  • Complete mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
  • Interact with customers/drivers to identify issues.

Benefits and Schedule
  • Hourly Pay: $28.00 per hour
  • Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700
  • Quarterly Bonus: Up to $500 four times per year
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, weekends off
  • Hours: First shift 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational/Technical certifications or post-secondary degrees preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs (AC, electrical systems)
  • Minimum 3 years relevant work experience preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
  • All other location-specific certifications required
Additional Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience with heavy and medium-duty vehicle repairs and diagnostics
  • Proficiency with computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
Driving Requirements
  • Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
  • Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background checks, including drug and alcohol verification for the past 3 years

Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, including preventive maintenance and diagnostics
  • Complete mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
  • Replace defective components as instructed
  • Work independently on most tasks
  • Perform facility maintenance duties
  • Interact with customers/drivers to identify issues
  • Use shop management systems and electronic documentation
  • Follow safety and compliance guidelines
  • Mentor Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels
  • Access and utilize maintenance documents
  • Support operations as needed, including Service Island duties
  • Complete SBT220 training within 180 days
  • Complete OEM diagnostic software courses as required
