Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Portland, Maine.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly Pay: $31.16 per hour
• Sign On Bonus: $2,500
• Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: Up to $500 four times per year
• Toolbox/Tool Allowance
• Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday
• Hours: Second Shift Tuesday - Thursday 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm, Friday 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm, Saturday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Vocational or technical certifications (preferred)
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine maintenance like oil changes, brake, and tire work
• Two or more years of combined classroom training and work experience (preferred)
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A (preferred)

Note: This position requires driving Ryder vehicles. To become a Ryder employee, you must:

• Obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
• Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background checks

Responsibilities:

• Vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Standard component inspections
