Job description

Sioux Falls Truck & Trailer is looking for a Diesel Mechanic

Minimum requirements: Must have own tools. Advanced training is preferred but not necessary.

Key responsibilities of a service technician include:

  1. Troubleshooting and Diagnosing Issues: Service technicians identify problems and malfunctions in equipment or systems using diagnostic tools, technical knowledge, and problem-solving skills to find root causes.

  2. Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs, replacements, and maintenance to restore equipment, including replacing faulty components, software updates, adjustments, and calibration.

  3. Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers to understand issues and provide updates, requiring effective communication and customer service skills.

  4. Documentation: Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, parts used, and related information.

  5. Preventive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled preventive tasks to prevent issues and extend equipment lifespan.

  6. Training and Support: Provide training and support to customers on equipment use and maintenance.

  7. Adhering to Safety Guidelines: Follow safety protocols to ensure safety while working on hazardous equipment.

  8. * Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally.

  9. * Participate in all available training programs.

Service technicians can specialize in various industries, including:

  • Automotive
