Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Technician.
• Knowledge of diesel engine components (Cummins, Detroit, CAT a plus).
• Valid Driver's License and ability to work independently in the field.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting and variable outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose & Repair: troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic failures on Class 8 diesel trucks in the field.
• Preventative Maintenance: perform routine checks and DOT-style inspections for fleet performance.
• Field Operations: use hand/power tools and advanced diagnostic equipment on-site.
• Customer Service: clearly communicate service needs and document work and parts used.

• Diagnose & Repair: Accurately troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic failures on Class 8 Diesel Trucks directly in the field.
• Preventative Maintenance: Execute routine maintenance checks, DOT-style inspections, and preventive repairs for optimal fleet performance.
• Field Operations: Effectively utilize a comprehensive set of hand tools, power tools, and advanced diagnostic equipment.
• Customer Service: Professionally communicate with clients regarding service needs, provide repair recommendations, and maintain accurate records of work and parts used.
• Professional Growth: Stay current on industry best practices, new diesel engine technologies, and related truck systems.

Requirements

• Experience: Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Technician.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong command of diesel engine components (e.g., Cummins, Detroit, CAT experience is a plus), transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Mobility: Must have a Valid Driver's License (Required) and the ability to work independently in a field setting.
• Physical Stamina: Physical capability for heavy lifting and safely working in various outdoor conditions.
