Job summary

Mile High Mobile Truck Repair is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic for a field service role, performing repairs and preventative maintenance on heavy-duty Class 8 trucks at client locations. You will diagnose complex issues, work with advanced diagnostic equipment, and ensure safety and uptime for fleets.

Strong communication with customers, reliable documentation of work and parts used, and ongoing professional development in diesel engine technologies are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Technician.
• Knowledge of diesel engine components (Cummins, Detroit, CAT a plus).
• Valid Driver's License and ability to work independently in the field.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting and variable outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose & Repair: troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic failures on Class 8 diesel trucks in the field.
• Preventative Maintenance: perform routine checks and DOT-style inspections for fleet performance.
• Field Operations: use hand/power tools and advanced diagnostic equipment on-site.
• Customer Service: clearly communicate service needs and document work and parts used.
• Professional Growth: stay updated on diesel technologies and related truck systems.
