Job summary

Verità Telecommunications Corporation in Northville, MI seeks an experienced Diesel Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair diesel trucks and heavy equipment to minimize fleet downtime and ensure safe operation.

You will perform preventative maintenance, inspect and replace worn parts, and document all service activities in compliance with safety standards and company policies. The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical experience and a safety-first mindset; ASE certification is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar heavy equipment repair.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, braking systems, fuel systems, and hydraulics.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair documentation.
  • Experience using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, braking systems, fuel systems, and hydraulic components
  • Perform preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake adjustments, alternator replacements, and other routine services
  • Inspect, repair, and replace defective parts, including gaskets, seals, and hydraulic components
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective repair solutions
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities comply with company and industry safety standards
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and prevent equipment failures

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on mechanical experience, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Pay:$32-$38 per hour
