Job summary

Transdev in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking an experienced C-Level Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across a range of vehicles. The role focuses on safety, efficiency, and longevity of our fleet, with opportunities to assist senior mechanics and lead preventive maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic is required.
• ASE certifications preferred and 609/608 conditioning certification.
• Ability to work graveyards, swing, or morning shifts or flexible schedules.
• DOT drug testing and physical may be required according to DOT 49 CFR Part 40.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and replacements on diesel engines, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Assist higher-level mechanics in advanced diagnostics and repair tasks.
• Execute routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
• Lead diagnostic tests and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks including overhauls and rebuilds as needed.
• Other duties as required.
