Job summary

Transdev North America in Salinas, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician C (I) to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across multiple vehicles. You will support senior mechanics and perform routine maintenance to maximize vehicle uptime.

The role offers $40.00 per hour under the Union Payscale, with benefits including vacation and sick leave and comprehensive health plans. Relocation to a new facility in Salinas is expected by September 2025.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and replacements on diesel engines, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Assist A-Level and B-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks.
• Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance.
• Lead diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine repair strategies.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting including overhauls and rebuilding components.
