Job summary

Transdev in Minneapolis is seeking an experienced A-Level (Level 3) Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across a range of vehicles. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and longevity of diesel-powered assets, with benefits under a collective bargaining agreement.

Compensation includes a union pay scale ($33.25–$48.58/hour) and up to $50/hour for highly qualified technicians, plus shift differentials and ASE-related incentives.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• ASE certifications required for promotion; ASE certification program provided.
• DOT drug testing and physical may apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine repairs on diesel engines.
• Perform routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with team to ensure efficient and accurate repairs; lead diagnostics and complex repairs.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians; perform other duties as required.
