Position Summary

Assist in troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, replacing, adjusting, and modifying company vehicles and equipment, including structural repairs and preventative maintenance, following safety and quality standards. Communicate professionally with co-workers and perform duties to serve the company effectively.

Position Responsibilities

• Review work schedule, perform safety checks, prepare supplies, and follow maintenance schedules and manuals.
• Perform inspections, troubleshoot, and repair tractors and trailers, including engines, transmissions, electrical, hydraulic, and refrigeration systems.
• Assist in servicing refrigeration units and repairing engines and leaks.
• Operate welding equipment for repairs and construction.
• Assist on road service trips, maintain logs, and keep work area organized.
• Perform other related duties as assigned, including end-of-shift equipment securing and paperwork completion.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. 6-12 months of experience or training in truck/automotive maintenance, including reading drawings, specifications, and using diagnostic tools.
