Job summary

Reyes Fleet Management, a Reyes Holdings business, is seeking a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician A to service tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and light-duty vans at the Downey shop. The role includes documentation via the Enterprise Asset Management system, strict safety/compliance, and potential travel.

Shift is Full-Time, 3:00pm-11:30pm, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday. Pay is $43.14/hr with union benefits, boot allowance, and opportunities for certification incentives

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years of related experience.
• Must possess own tools.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record per DOT regulations.
• Valid CDL (License A) is highly desired; mandatory in some locations.
• Ability to frequently lift heavy weights up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts).
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable.
• Complete complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring safety program compliance.
• This position may require driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles; DOT qualified and MVR/dot screening requirements apply.
• Some travel may be required.
• Other projects or duties as assigned.
