Job summary

Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician B to repair and maintain tractor and trailer equipment at our Reyes Beverage Group shop in Gardena. The role supports DOT-compliant safety standards and requires a valid CDL/driver’s license and own tools.

Full-time with benefits and growth opportunities. Shift is 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with pay ranging from $32 to $36 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years related experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess own tools.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR per DOT regulations to operate company vehicles.
• Ability to frequently lift 50+ lbs and occasionally over 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and perform routine preventative maintenance on fleet equipment.
• Document repairs and maintenance with parts used and work performed in AssetWorks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems with tools and manuals.
• Follow DOT, OSHA and Reyes Fleet Management safety standards and use PPE and safe practices.
• Maintain a current driver qualification file, including MVR checks and DOT screenings as required.
• Assist with other projects or duties as assigned.

Position Responsibilities:

• Responsible for accurately inspecting, repairing and completing routine preventative maintenance of Fleet Equipment, including standard component inspections and repairs.
• Complete necessary documentation for repairs and maintenance while maintaining accurate records of work performed, parts used, and repairs/inspections completed through the online AssetWorks system.
• Vehicles and Fleet Equipment.
• Learn and assist diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices.
• This position requires driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMSCA Clearinghouse review.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 2 plus years of related experience
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess own tools.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds

Preferred Education and Experience:
