Reyes Fleet Management, one of the largest privately held fleets in the U.S., is hiring a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician B at our Reyes Beverage Group facility in Pompano Beach. Shift Tue-Fri 12:30pm-9pm, Sat 8am-4:30pm.

Pay: $29.00-$31.00/hr depending on experience. Responsibilities include inspecting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on tractors and trailers, documenting work in AssetWorks, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED with related experience
• Ability to operate company vehicles with valid license and clean MVR
• Experience performing preventative maintenance on fleet equipment

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and perform routine preventive maintenance on fleet equipment
• Document repairs and maintenance in AssetWorks with parts used and work performed
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using tools and manuals
• Adhere to DOT, OSHA, and Reyes safety policies and procedures
• Drive Reyes vehicles as required and maintain driver qualification records

Position Responsibilities:

• Responsible for accurately inspecting, repairing and completing routine preventative maintenance of Fleet Equipment, including standard component inspections and repairs.
• Complete necessary documentation for repairs and maintenance while maintaining accurate records of work performed, parts used, and repairs/inspections completed through the online AssetWorks system.
• Vehicles and Fleet Equipment.
• Learn and assist diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices.
• This position requires driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMSCA Clearinghouse review.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 2 plus years of related experience
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess own tools.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds
