Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician B to focus on the PM services of tractors, trailers, liftgates, and reefer units at our shop in Enfield, CT.

Shift: Full-Time, Sunday-Wednesday 2:00PM-12:30AM OR Tuesday-Friday 2:00PM-12:30AM

Pay: $23.00-$28.00/HR based on experience and qualifications

Position Responsibilities:

• The Fleet Technician focuses on the preventative maintenance of the fleet diesel equipment, identifying root causes of basic failures to perform repairs as needed.
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Inspect brake systems to ensure proper operating condition and ensure equipment has required licensing and registration.
• Use hand tools and power tools such as screwdrivers and perform routine maintenance like changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
• Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and safety devices.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of related experience.
• Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds, occasionally lift 100 pounds.
• Valid Driver’s License to operate applicable company vehicles.
• Own tools (minimum tool requirement).

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Technical School Certification.
