Job description

Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician B to focus on PM services for tractors, trailers, liftgates, and reefer units at our shop in Enfield, CT.

Shift:

Full-Time, Sunday-Wednesday 2:00PM-12:30AM OR Tuesday-Friday 2:00PM-12:30AM

Pay:

$23.00-$28.00/HR based on experience and qualifications

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment, identifying root causes of failures and performing repairs as needed.
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders related to repairs and maintenance.
• Inspect brake systems to ensure proper operation and verify equipment has required licensing and registration.
• Use hand and power tools to perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication.
• Inspect and adjust safety guards, bolts, and safety devices.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of related experience.
• Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift 100 pounds.
• Valid Driver’s License to operate company vehicles.
• Own tools meeting minimum requirements.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Technical School Certification.
