Job description

Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician A to focus on the PM services of tractors, trailers, liftgates, and reefer units at our shop in Enfield, CT.

Shift: Full-Time Sunday-Wednesday 2:00PM-12:30AM OR Tuesday-Friday 2:00PM-12:30AM

Pay: $30.00-$36.00/HR based on experience and qualifications

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform repair, maintenance, and overhaul of fleet diesel equipment, including diagnostics and rebuilding of clutches and brake systems.
  • Complete thorough documentation for work orders related to repairs and preventative maintenance using the online AssetWorks system.
  • Operate a company vehicle to diagnose and repair equipment during roadside service calls.
  • Ensure equipment has the required licensing and registration before being deemed "roadworthy".
  • Install, replace, and repair onboard computers (XRS or XataNet) and cameras (DriveCam).
  • Follow safety policies and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED and 3+ years of related experience.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, occasionally lift 100 pounds.
  • Valid Driver’s License to operate applicable company vehicles.
  • Own tools (meet minimum tool requirements).

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Technical School Certification.
