Job summary

The Mechanic at Cemex US will diagnose and repair diesel tractors, trailers and other wheeled vehicles, following established maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities include evaluating vehicle issues, performing routine maintenance, adhering to OSHA and safety policies, and communicating findings with supervisors. Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems is preferred, and a valid driver's license is required or will be expected within 180 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years related experience, training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bi-lingual Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel tractors, trailers and other wheeled vehicles according to standard methods.
• Discuss extensive repairs with the Terminal Manager or Supervisor as needed.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety policies and plant rules during repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance and participate in work planning and scheduling.
