You’ll perform a range of mechanical repairs, follow safety procedures, and support fellow mechanics as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 1+ years in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing; or 4 years' diesel mechanic experience.
• Vocational/technical diploma or associate degree preferred.
• Proficiency with diesel engine diagnostics software and electrical systems.
• Ability to perform hard physical labor and work in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs and maintenance in a productive, SAFE manner.
• Communicates completion and next assignment to lead technician.
• Documents parts used and time spent on forms.
• Diagnoses problems and tests repairs; follows safety procedures.
• Assists/trains other mechanics as required.
• Performs preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
