Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and 1+ years of related experience in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing, or 4 years' direct diesel mechanic experience.
• Preferred: Vocational/Technical diploma or associate degree in maintenance.
• Proficient with diesel engine diagnostic software and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs and maintenance work in a productive, efficient and SAFE manner.
• Informs the lead technician when one assignment is complete and another is required.
• Provides a list of parts needed to lead technician.
• Records all time spent and parts used on the appropriate forms.
• Diagnoses problems and tests all repairs.
• Assists/trains other mechanics as required.
• Performs all phases of preventive maintenance.
• Follows company safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Performs DOT inspections as needed.
