Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. in Carlisle, PA seeks a Diesel Mechanic to perform routine maintenance on class 6–8 equipment, inspect and repair diesel systems, and troubleshoot issues to keep the fleet moving. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with an afternoon shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM) and company uniforms.

Qualifications

• 2 years of tractor/trailer inspection and repair experience or technical school with heavy‑duty certification.
• EPA HVAC Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling Certification within 90 days of hire.
• A valid driver’s license and basic welding/hand tools.
• Able to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
• DOT/EPA/OSHA rules knowledge and safety documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on class 6–8 diesel equipment and trailers.
• Inspect, repair, and rebuild systems; troubleshoot issues.
• Move trailers, operate hostler, and document work orders.
• Maintain safe, clean, organized work area and comply with regulations.
• Interact with operations and shop management.
