Job summary

XPO is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to service a broad fleet of class 6–8 diesel equipment and trailers. The role involves routine maintenance, troubleshooting, HVAC work, and adherence to DOT/EPA/OSHA rules.

A shift-ready candidate will join a team focused on safety and reliability, with competitive pay and benefits. Experienced technicians can earn up to $42.48/hour with master certification and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in tractor/trailer inspection and repair or tech school with certification.
• EPA HVAC Refrigerant Recovery certification within 90 days of hire.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Basic welding skills (Oxy/Acetylene, MIG, ARC) and mechanical aptitude.
• Basic hand tools for heavy-duty trailer and tractor maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on class 6–8 diesel equipment, forklifts, and trailing equipment.
• Inspect, repair, or rebuild various systems and troubleshoot issues.
• Perform HVAC system repairs and maintain safety and DOT/OSHA compliance.
• Enter job times and parts on repair orders; move trailers and operate hostler as needed.
• Interact with operations and shop management to ensure productivity and safety.
