Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech IV) to service and repair complex equipment with minimal supervision. You will work in a safety‑minded, professional environment and support customers with quality service.

The role requires 5+ years of hands‑on equipment repair, strong mechanical aptitude, and ownership of essential tools. Valid license and ability to lift up to 45 lbs are necessary.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Advanced knowledge of schematics and diagrams for construction equipment.
• Must own tools applicable to position.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment.
• When required, travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist in training lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work (work orders) daily.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties as needed.
