United Rentals is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech IV) to perform maintenance and repairs on complex rental equipment with minimal supervision. You will work to uphold safety, quality, and customer service standards while supporting the Service Department.

The role requires hands-on expertise, tool ownership, and the ability to travel to customer sites as needed. Growth into leadership roles is encouraged for high performers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsabilités

• Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools while using a high degree of independent judgment.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment; maintain service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) daily.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
