The State of Indiana, through INDOT, seeks a Diesel Mechanic to service heavy equipment, light vehicles and related tools in the Wabash Sub-District. You will diagnose issues, comply with safety procedures, and support major engine overhauls as needed.

CDL is required or must be obtained within 90 days; onsite CDL training is provided. Benefits include substantial leave, retirement options, and tool reimbursement.

Qualifikationen

• Must hold valid CDL class A or B or obtain within 90 days.
• Strong knowledge of automobile functions and repair.
• Ability to operate diagnostic equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; 1+ year related experience.

Aufgaben

• Rebuild, replace or repair major parts on cars, light trucks, heavy equipment.
• Perform minor repairs and service of tires, injectors and hydraulic components.
• Install snowplow blades and repair plow assemblies.
• Maintain EMS records of parts used and work performed.
• Provide roadside service calls and attend safety trainings.
