Job summary

Transdev in Salinas, CA seeks a Maintenance Technician C to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across a fleet of vehicles. You’ll support senior mechanics, perform routine maintenance, and lead diagnostic tests to ensure safety and reliability.

Expect a $40.00 per hour wage under the union contract, with vacation, sick leave, and comprehensive benefits. Must be able to work shifts and relocate as needed, with DOT testing where required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.
• Have a Mechanic’s Tool Set and basic diagnostic skills.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and replacements on diesel engines.
• Assist higher-level mechanics in diagnostics and repairs.
• Execute routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
• Lead diagnostic tests and determine repair strategies.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting including overhauling components.
