Job summary

Transdev North America in El Cajon, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician C to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across a range of transit vehicles and equipment. You will ensure safety, efficiency, and reliability of the fleet.

The role requires 1+ years of heavy-duty transit repair experience, ASE certification preferred, and the ability to obtain a CDL with P and A endorsements. Starting pay is $37.91 per hour, with progression under the labor agreement.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience in repairing and maintaining heavy-duty transit equipment
• ASE certifications preferred
• Must obtain CDL with Passenger and Airbrake endorsements
• Mechanic’s Tool Set required
• Subject to DOT drug testing

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and replacements on engines, ensuring optimal functionality
• Assist A-Level and B-Level Mechanics in diagnostics
• Service and repair all assigned transit vehicles and related equipment
• Lead diagnostic tests to identify issues and plan comprehensive repairs
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and overhauls on diesel engines
• Other duties as required
