Reyes Holdings, L.L.C. at the New Hudson, MI Reyes Coca Cola Bottling facility is seeking a Fleet Diesel Mechanic B to inspect, repair, and maintain trailer and tractor equipment in the fleet shop.

This full-time, 3rd shift position pays $32.60 per hour to start, with CDL incentive pay and a benefits package including healthcare, paid time off, and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with related experience.
• Preferred technical schooling or certifications in diesel mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and perform preventative maintenance on fleet trailer/tractor equipment.
• Document repairs and parts used, maintaining records in AssetWorks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems with tools.
• Follow DOT/OSHA and Reyes Fleet standards; ensure tool, PPE and safety compliance.
• Maintain DOT qualification file, including MVR checks and drug screening as required.
• Other projects or duties as assigned.

Shift:Full-TimelMonday-Friday-3rd Shift 7:00PM-3:30AM

Pay: $32.60/HR to start

CDL Incentive Pay-Receive an additional $1.00 on hourly rate with active CDL A

Position Responsibilities:

• Responsible for accurately inspecting, repairing and completing routine preventative maintenance of Fleet Equipment, including standard component inspections and repairs.
• Complete necessary documentation for repairs and maintenance while maintaining accurate records of work performed, parts used, and repairs/inspections completed through the online AssetWorks system.
• Vehicles and Fleet Equipment.
• Learn and assist diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices.
• This position requires driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMSCA Clearinghouse review.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 2 plus years of related experience
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess own tools.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds
