Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Fleet Diesel Mechanic A to perform repairs and maintenance on tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related equipment at our McCook, IL facility. This full-time, 3rd shift role (Wed–Sat, 10:00 PM–8:30 AM) offers competitive pay with shift differential and CDL incentives.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts).
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable
• Complete complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs
• This position may require driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles; DOT regulated
• Some travel may be required
• Other projects or duties as assigned

Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Fleet Diesel Mechanic A to help with repairs and maintenance on trailer/tractor equipment at our facility shop in McCook, IL.

Shift: Full-Time 3rd Shift – Wednesday-Saturday 10:00PM-8:30AM, OFF Sunday-Tuesday!

Pay: Starts at $31.00-$37.00/HR + additional $2.00 per hour for shift differential. Additional CDL Incentive Pay ($1.00 with active CDL A or B license). Pay is based on experience/qualifications.

Position Responsibilities

Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts).

• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable
• Complete complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices
• This position may require driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMSCA Clearinghouse review
