Job summary

Reyes Fleet Management in Caledonia, MI is seeking a Diesel Mechanic A to diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts at our shop. This full-time 3rd shift role (10:00 PM–6:30 AM, Sun–Thu) offers a pay rate of $32.70 per hour with CDL incentive pay and benefits including health, dental, vision, PTO and opportunities for advancement.

Minimum qualifications include a High School/GED, 3+ years of related experience, own tools, and a valid CDL

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years of related experience.
• Must possess own tools.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR in compliance with DOT regulations to operate company vehicles.
• CDL (License A) is highly desired; mandatory in some locations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts).
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable.
• Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Adhere to DOT, OSHA, Reyes Fleet Management standards and safety practices.

Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Diesel Mechanic A to help with repairs and maintenance on trailer/tractor equipment located at our fleet shop in Caledonia, MI.

Shift: Full-Time 3rd Shift 10:00PM-6:30AM- Sunday-Thursday

Pay: $32.50 + 0.20 shift differential = $32.70/HR CDL Incentive Pay-($1.00 additionally with active CDL A license)

Position Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts)
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable
• Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices
• This position may require driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMSCA Clearinghouse review

• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds
