Job summary

R+L Carriers in Yemassee, SC is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to perform day-to-day maintenance on our fleet of Class 8 trucks, trailers and forklifts. You will handle preventive maintenance and repairs, with welding required depending on location, on a Monday–Friday schedule with various shifts.

The position offers $21.80–$35.31 per hour, a $2,500 sign-on bonus (limited time), and a comprehensive benefits package including vacation after 90 days and access to our exclusive employee resorts.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Ability to perform major repairs.
• Experience with AC and electrical systems.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Must have own tools.
• 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred.
• Experience with Cummins and Detroit engines.
• Experience using Cetaris for work orders.
• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day maintenance on fleet equipment.
• Repair Class 8 trucks, trailers, and forklifts as needed.
• Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding as required depending on location.

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at our Yemassee, SC Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This can include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding depending on location.

Requirements

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
