Job summary

R+L Carriers is hiring a Diesel Mechanic at the Lakeland, FL service center. You will perform day-to-day maintenance on our fleet, handling preventive maintenance and repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related equipment, including welding where required. This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and owning your own tools.

The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and a schedule Monday-Friday with 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Must be able to handle major repairs.
• Experience with AC and Electrical systems.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Must have own tools.
• 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred.
• Experience with Cummins & Detroit engines.
• Experience using Cetaris for work orders.
• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day maintenance on fleet equipment, including preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Carry out minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related components.
• Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies and welding as needed per location.

Job Description: R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanic at our Lakeland, FL Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This can include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding depending on location.
