Job summary

GFL Industries is hiring a technician to safely operate, repair, rebuild, and maintain heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment for daily operation in Wisconsin. Starting pay is $28-$33 per hour, with more pay based on experience and certifications.

Shift starts at 12pm, typically 8–10 hours, Monday to Friday, with overtime after 40 hours. Benefits include PTO, tool allowance, boot reimbursement, health coverage after 60 days, and 401K after 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely.

Starting Pay: $28-$33/hrMore pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Shift: 12pm start time. Expect 8-10hr shifts. M-F. OT after 40hrs
