Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a skilled diesel truck technician to safely operate, repair, rebuild, and maintain our heavy-duty refuse-truck fleet. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure the fleet remains safe and ready for daily operations.

This role demands reliability, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols. The position offers a 12pm shift, 8–10 hour days, with overtime after 40 hours.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing diesel refuse trucks.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, electrical, brakes, and PTO systems.
• Shift starts at 12pm with 8–10 hour days; OT after 40 hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely

Starting Pay: $28-$33/hrMore pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Shift: 12pm start time. Expect 8-10hr shifts. M-F. OT after 40hrs
