Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Shallotte, NC is seeking a skilled technician to safely operate, repair, and maintain company-owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment. The role offers a competitive starting pay and compelling benefits.

Starting pay ranges from $25 to $32 per hour with a $5K sign-on bonus paid in three installments. Shift is 2pm–12:30am, Monday to Friday, with overtime after 40 hours.

Qualifications

• Maintenance of heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment.
• Diagnose issues and perform repairs on hydraulic, electrical, brakes, suspension and PTO systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and ensure fleet readiness.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely

Starting Pay:

$25 to $32 per hour.

More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

$5K Sign On Bonus-paid out in 3 installments.

Shift: 2pm-1230am

M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked.
