Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a skilled mechanic to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain heavy‑duty diesel trucks and equipment. Starting pay is $30+/hr based on experience and certifications, with a 2pm–12am shift and overtime after 40 hours.

Qualifications

• Experience with diesel refuse trucks.
• Ability to diagnose issues and perform repairs on diesel trucks.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections and diagnose issues on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely

Starting Pay: $30+/hr based on EXP, CERTS and SKILL LEVEL. Higher pay available for highly qualified mechanics. Shift: 2pm-12am M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked.
