• Hourly pay: $24.50 per hour
• Certification bonus of $100 for each new ASE certification obtained, up to $700
• Quarterly bonus: up to $500 four times per year
• Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, second shift 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certifications preferred
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine maintenance like oil changes, brakes, and tires
• Two or more years of relevant classroom training and work experience preferred
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred

This position requires driving Ryder vehicles. To qualify, you must:

• Obtain a CDL within 6 months of hire
• Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background checks

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Conduct standard component inspections and repairs
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic issues using diagnostic tools
• Identify root causes and perform necessary repairs
• Replace defective components as instructed
• Maintain facility upkeep
• Interact with customers/drivers to clarify issues
• Use shop management systems and electronic documentation
• Follow all safety and compliance guidelines
• Support operations as needed, including support on service islands
