Position Description

Immediately hiring a Permanent Full-Time Experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Princeton, Indiana.

Compensation and Schedule

• Hourly Pay: $24.50 per hour
• Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700
• Quarterly Bonus: Up to $500 every quarter
• Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday
• Hours: 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm (Second Shift)

Job Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles
• Conduct standard component inspections and repairs
• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnostics using diagnostic computers
• Identify root causes of mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs
• Replace defective components as instructed
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
• Utilize shop management systems and electronic documentation
• Adhere to safety, DOT, and corporate compliance guidelines

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certifications preferred
• Basic tools required
• At least 2 years of experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
• Valid CDL Class A preferred (must obtain within 6 months of hire)

Additional Requirements

• Must pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background checks
