CNC Oilfield Services, LLC is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic in Frierson, LA. The role involves diagnosing vehicle systems, replacing major components, performing preventative maintenance, and test-driving to ensure optimal performance.

The candidate must be prepared to work callouts and maintain safety and organization in a fast-paced shop. Ideal applicants have a mechanical degree or diploma, ASE Diesel certification (advantageous), and a CDL or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering is required or preferred.
• ASE Diesel Certification is advantageous.
• Air Brakes Certification is desirable.
• Air Conditioning Certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Running diagnostic tests on vehicles.
• Analyzing diagnostic test results.
• Replacing engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.
• Inspecting vehicle lighting systems.
• Test driving vehicles to gauge performance.
• Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Preventative maintenance on service trucks.
• Safety checks on vehicles.
• Adhering to inspection procedure checklist.
• Maintaining a parts inventory.
• Preparing and maintaining accurate service/repair records.
• Keeping the shop and equipment clean and safe.

Diesel Mechanic

Location: Frierson, LA - Job Type: Full-Time

CNC Oilfield Services is a leading oil and gas service company, providing reliable transportation solutions to the industry. Mechanic Duties & Responsibilities:

• Running diagnostic tests on vehicles
• Analyzing diagnostic test results
• Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems
• Inspecting vehicle lighting systems
• Test driving vehicles to gauge performance
• Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks
• Conducts safety checks on vehicles
• Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist
• Maintaining a parts inventory
• Prepares and maintains accurate records of services and repairs
• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop, work area and equipment
• MUST be willing to work a callout schedule

Diesel Mechanic Skills & Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering
• ASE Diesel Certification advantageous
• Valid Chauffeur’s driver's license, CDL preferred
• Must have reliable transportation
• Air Brakes Certification
• Air Conditioning Certification
• Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components
• Knowledge of electrical system
• Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 150 pounds
• Must be able to stand for significant lengths of time in an industrial environment with exposure to all elements of weather
• Must have own tools
• Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools
• Attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Effectively communicates with co-workers in a positive manner
