Job summary

CNC Oilfield Services is seeking a Diesel Mechanic in Frierson, LA. The role focuses on diagnostics, engine/transmission work, and preventative maintenance on service trucks in a safety-conscious shop.

Candidates should have mechanical/automotive education, diesel certification is a plus, andOwning tools is preferred. CDL is a bonus; willingness to work a callout schedule is required.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering.
• ASE Diesel Certification advantageous.
• CDL preferred or valid Chauffeur’s license.
• Must have own tools and reliable transportation.
• Physically fit to lift up to 150 pounds and work in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Running diagnostic tests on vehicles
• Analyzing diagnostic test results
• Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems
• Inspecting vehicle lighting systems
• Test driving vehicles to gauge performance
• Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns
• Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks
• Maintains a parts inventory
• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop, work area and equipment
• MUST be willing to work a callout schedule

Diesel Mechanic

Location: Frierson, LA - Job Type: Full-Time

CNC Oilfield Services is a leading oil and gas service company, providing reliable transportation solutions to the industry. Mechanic Duties & Responsibilities

• Running diagnostic tests on vehicles
• Analyzing diagnostic test results
• Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems
• Inspecting vehicle lighting systems
• Test driving vehicles to gauge performance
• Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks
• Conducts safety checks on vehicles
• Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist
• Maintaining a parts inventory
• Prepares and maintains accurate records of services and repairs
• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop, work area and equipment
• MUST be willing to work a callout schedule

Diesel Mechanic Skills & Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering
• ASE Diesel Certification advantageous
• Valid Chauffeur’s driver's license, CDL preferred
• Must have reliable transportation
• Air Brakes Certification
• Air Conditioning Certification
• Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components
• Knowledge of electrical system
• Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 150 pounds
• Must be able to stand for significant lengths of time in an industrial environment with exposure to all elements of weather
• Must have own tools
• Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools
