Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) is seeking a DOT inspection certified Truck & Trailer Mechanic for our Kent, WA location. The role covers diagnosing mechanical and electrical failures on tank trailers, performing tank service and repair, and installing/troubleshooting trailer suspensions.

Shift hours are Monday–Friday, and pay ranges from $22.00 to $42.00 per hour, depending on experience, with skill-based pay reviews every six months.

Qualifications

• DOT inspection certified mechanic with 2-5+ years of experience.
• Experience with tank trailers and components.
• Ability to ensure compliance with DOT standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical or other system failures on tank trailers and perform repairs.
• Provide tank service and repair, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Install and repair trailer suspensions and related components.
• Work with air brake systems and perform repairs as needed.

We are currently searching for DOT inspection certified mechanic with 2-5+ years of experience. This is for our Kent, WA location!

Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 7am-3:30pm

Pay Range: $22.00 to $42.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair
• Trailer suspension installation and repair
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards
• HM183 certified preferred

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
