GFL Industries is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our waste and recycling fleet. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and major repairs on refuse trucks to ensure safe and reliable operations.

The role requires 1+ year of diesel tech experience, own basic tools, and a valid driver’s license. Expect 10–12 hour shifts with overtime after 40 hours; pay ranges from $27–$32/hr plus overtime opportunities.

Competenze

• Minimum 1 year experience as a diesel technician/mechanic.
• Must own a personal set of basic mechanics tools.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, air brakes, diesel engines, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced shop environment.

Under the guidance of shop leadership, conduct repairs and preventative maintenance on both Diesel and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles to maintain GFL's fleet in safe and continuous "road ready" condition.

Location: 2787 TX-87 Port Bolivar TX Pay Rate: $27-$32/hr. More pay available based on experience, certifications, and skill level. Hours / Shift: 10am start time. Expect 10-12hr shifts M-F. Immediate Overtime after 40hrs.

About the Role

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues using diagnostic software and tools.
