Aerotek is hiring a Diesel Mechanic in Gainesville, FL to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain semi-trucks and trailers in a busy shop. This role emphasizes diesel equipment, DOT inspections, and hands-on maintenance with room for training and certification support.
You'll work first shift, 10:00 am–6:00 pm, Monday–Friday, in a fully onsite facility with uniforms provided and opportunities for internal promotion based on ASE certifications and performance.

The Diesel Mechanic role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining semi-trucks and trailers, with a strong emphasis on diesel equipment. You will perform both preventative and reactive maintenance, complete DOT inspections, and accurately document all work performed using a digital work order system. This position offers hands-on technical work in a well-equipped shop environment, along with opportunities for training, certification support, and internal promotion.

Uniforms are provided and laundered weekly, and a designated changing room is available on site. The facility also includes an on-site gym and clinic, contributing to a well-rounded and supportive work setting.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gainesville, FL.
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $31.25/hr.
