Job summary

Reyes Fleet Management in Conroe, TX is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, rebuild, and repair tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units for our fleet. This role includes thorough documentation of repairs and preventive maintenance using our online Enterprise Asset Management system.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED with 3+ years of related experience, own tools, a valid CDL preferred (mandatory in some locations), and the ability to lift heavy weights.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years of related experience.
• Must possess own tools.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR per DOT regulations to operate applicable company vehicles.
• Valid CDL (License A) is highly desired; mandatory in some locations.
• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts).
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable.
• Complete complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring safety programs and proper use of tools and PPE.
• This position may require driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles; a current driver qualification file is required per DOT, including MVR, DOT Physical, and Safety History; CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days and potential FMCSA Clearinghouse review.
• Some travel may be required.
• Other projects or duties as assigned.

Join the Reyes Fleet Management team located at our Martin Brower facility in Conroe.

Reyes Fleet Management is one of the largest privately held fleets in the U.S.

We are seeking a Diesel Mechanic to work on our fleet of tractors and trailers.

Shift: Wednesday - Saturday 7:00pm-5:30am

Pay: Up to $34.00/hr, depending upon experience

Position Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts)
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable
• Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices
• This position may require driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMSCA Clearinghouse review

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
• Valid CDL (License A) is highly desired; mandatory in some locations
• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds
