Job summary

Reyes Fleet Management at the Martin Brower facility in Phoenix is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to service a large fleet of tractors and trailers. The role shifts Tue-Sat from 3:00pm to 11:30pm, with pay of $25.00–$30.00 per hour depending on experience.

You will inspect, repair, and perform preventative maintenance while documenting work in AssetWorks. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with 2+ years of related experience, own tools, a valid license and DOT-compliant MVR.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years of related experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess own tools.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR under DOT rules.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, up to 100+ lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and perform routine preventive maintenance on fleet equipment.
• Document repairs and maintenance, parts used, and inspections in AssetWorks.
• Learn and assist diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Adhere to DOT, OSHA and Reyes Fleet Management safety standards.
• Operate Reyes family of businesses and customer vehicles; maintain DOT files.
• Other projects or duties as assigned.

We are seeking a Diesel Mechanic to work on our fleet of tractors and trailers.

Shift: Tuesday-Saturday 3:00pm-11:30pm

Pay

$25.00 to $30.00/hr, depending upon experience

Position Responsibilities:

• Responsible for accurately inspecting, repairing and completing routine preventative maintenance of Fleet Equipment, including standard component inspections and repairs.
• Complete necessary documentation for repairs and maintenance while maintaining accurate records of work performed, parts used, and repairs/inspections completed through the online AssetWorks system.
• Vehicles and Fleet Equipment.
• Learn and assist diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices.
• This position requires driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMSCA Clearinghouse review.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 2 plus years of related experience
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess own tools.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds
