Job Description

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a hard-working Diesel Mechanic for a company based in Baton Rouge, La. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for completing routine rebuilds and replacements, making best value and safety decisions to continue to operate, repair or replace, and perform technical repairs on diesel vehicles.

Pay Rate
$30-$40 per hour (depending on experience)

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Diesel Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities

1. Inspect vehicles for safety requirements
2. Understand and use basic tools, including hand tools and air tools, to perform repairs or modifications on diesel vehicles.
3. Respond to service calls
4. Work on equipment that requires preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, modifications, and repairs
5. Ensure proper and accurate documentation of all maintenance performed, completing reports in writing and electronically.

Diesel Mechanic Qualifications and Requirements

1. At least 2+ years of experience
2. Have own tools
3. Excellent customer service and communications skills
4. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
