Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, braking systems, engines, HVAC, suspension, and more. You will service vehicles on-site and on the road, working with a team to keep routes running safely and efficiently.

You’ll receive ongoing training in new technologies and equipment, with opportunities for professional growth and a stable shift in a leading company dedicated to community service.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• Basic understanding of work order labor time standards.
• 3-5 years of technician experience or graduate from automotive school with upcoming completion within 3 months.
• ASE certifications (T1–T8) are a plus but not required.
• CDL is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge and proficiency in chassis, refuse bodies, and braking systems.
• Performs line maintenance welding and fabrication; provides road service when needed.
• Identifies malfunctions using electronic tools and completes training programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the company.
