Job summary

Ecology Auto Parts, Inc. is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic (Level 2) with strong hydraulic systems experience, specializing in wet kit installations for PTOs. The role supports a diverse fleet of Class 8 trucks with focus on safety, uptime, and maintenance excellence in a fast-paced shop.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years as a diesel mechanic, a year in hydraulics, and own tools. Class A/B license preferred but not required; compensation includes benefits and a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational certs preferred.
• 3+ years as a diesel mechanic with 1+ year hydraulics/wet kit installs.
• Knowledge of PTO systems, hydraulic setups, and control mechanisms.
• Own tools and experience with diagnostic and power tools.
• Familiarity with diesel engines (Cummins, CAT, Detroit) and DEF systems.

Responsibilities

• Install wet kits, hydraulic pumps, tanks, lines, and PTO systems on Class 8 trucks.
• Diagnostics and repairs of hydraulic/pneumatic systems and leaks.
• Service diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and electrical components.
• Collaborate on build specs and install configurations for truck bodies.
• Ensure work meets DOT safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
