SUNSHINE AUTO SALVAGE LLC in Orangeburg, SC seeks a skilled hydraulic technician to install, repair, and upgrade hydraulic systems in heavy equipment. You will diagnose issues, follow safety standards, and document maintenance activities while collaborating with engineers and operators.

Strong mechanical aptitude and at least one year of diesel maintenance experience preferred; technical hydraulics certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational certification in hydraulics, mechanical, or industrial technology preferred.
• Minimum 1 year recent medium/heavy diesel maintenance experience.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, fluid power principles, and related mechanical components.
• Ability to diagnose complex hydraulic issues and implement effective repairs.

Responsabilités

• Install, replace, or upgrade hydraulic components according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic failures and implement effective solutions to minimize equipment downtime.
• Maintain accurate service records, including maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage.
• Collaborate with engineers, operators, and maintenance teams to identify recurring issues and improve system performance.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures, OSHA standards, and company policies while handling high-pressure systems.
• Maintain an organized inventory of hydraulic parts, tools, and equipment required for service operations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to operators and junior technicians on proper hydraulic system operation and maintenance.
