Ecology Auto Parts Inc. seeks a Diesel Mechanic to diagnose and repair heavy-duty diesel vehicles and equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and inspect systems.

You will support all mechanical repair tasks within the Fleet & Maintenance department, reporting to the Fleet & Maintenance Director. Requirements include 3 years of relevant experience, a valid driver's license, and high school diploma or equivalent; certification in automotive technology preferred.

Formación

• Three years of relevant work experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification or diploma in automotive technology or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or similar role.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and compliance standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
• Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
• Works under limited supervision and selects from written instructions and established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Company / OSHA Standards and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
• Estimates time and material costs on vehicle repairs and requisitions new parts.
• Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Conducts annual safety checks on vehicles.
• Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
• Assist other mechanics in the completion of project work.
• Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
