Interstate Waste Services is hiring a skilled Diesel Mechanic to service a diverse fleet across Northern NJ and New York areas. The role emphasizes hydraulics, engine and transmission maintenance, and exhaust systems with DPF. Candidates must supply their own tools and hold a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience as a heavy-duty Diesel Mechanic.
• Hydraulics experience required.
• Engine and transmission maintenance and repairs.
• Experience with Premium Tech Tool (Mack), Allison, Cummins, Peterbilt, PACCAR.
• Chassis components including air brakes, suspension, drivetrain and steering.
• Maintain exhaust systems with DPF.
• Keep a clean, safe work area per OSHA.
• Must provide own tools.
• Valid driver’s license required.
